Stef Wolf is a local embroidery artist interested in the mindful use of stitching to foster intramural and interpersonal healing. The large format embroidered maps in this exhibition are the record of an interactive art project documenting historical and contemporary migration routes of individuals and peoples. The routes described by these works were offered by visitors to the MAH in fall of 2016. “We Came Real Far” offers glimpses into the concrete motions of migration as well as the intergenerational traumas and interconnected sacred healing intimately intertwined.
Join us for an opening reception with the artist Friday October 4th 6-9pm!
“We Came Real Far” will be on display 10/4-10/28.
